Aspire People is seeking a qualified and experienced Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) to work 3 days a week with a primary school in Southeast Birmingham. This role involves strategic development of the school's Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision and oversight of the day-to-day operation of that policy with the aim of raising SEN pupil achievement. Key responsibilities include ensuring the school carries out its statutory responsibilities regarding all students with SEN needs, supporting staff in understanding the needs of SEN pupils, and monitoring progress towards targets for pupils with SEN. The ideal candidate will have SEN experience, an excellent understanding of the SEN code of practice, and a willingness to embrace change. They will also be an excellent team player and have a passion for creating a safe and nurturing learning experience for all children.
