Automation Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team at Trant Engineering Limited. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems for our clients in the water and wastewater treatment industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automation systems for water and wastewater treatment plants
  • Configure and program PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and telemetry systems
  • Develop control system documentation, risk assessments, and method statements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams

Requirements:

  • Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of automation systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Hands-on electrical skills and experience with Mitsubishi and Schneider systems
