Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Specialist to join our team at Trant Engineering Group. As an Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical control systems for our water and wastewater treatment solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-contract site surveys to identify system requirements
  • Select and purchase equipment for control systems
  • Develop control system documentation, including functional design specifications, safety data sheets, and factory acceptance testing reports
  • Create risk assessments, method statements, and site progress reports
  • Configure and program multiple PLC, HMI, SCADA, and telemetry systems, including Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, and Mitsubishi
  • Perform onsite fault finding and modification of electrical control systems

Requirements:

  • Background in automation engineering or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for client-facing work
  • Hard working and self-motivated with hands-on electrical skills
  • Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience
