Job Title: Visual Effects Project Manager

TM UK (Web) is seeking a highly skilled Visual Effects Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our VFX projects from pre-production to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Planning and Management: Work closely with the VFX Producer and Co-ordinators to create, implement, and manage project schedules, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  2. Client Communication: Attend client meetings, take notes, and communicate project updates and changes as required.
  3. Workflow Management: Track and manage workflow through departments, meeting internal and external deadlines.
  4. Crewing and Project Information: Collate crewing and project information, lead discussions at production meetings, and highlight shortages, surplus, additional work, and any impact on schedules.
  5. Co-ordinator Support: Advise, guide, and mentor Co-ordinators to ensure learning and growth, and oversee their organization of dailies, rounds, and meetings.
  6. Shotgun Management: Allocate shots in Shotgun, ensuring it is kept updated daily with notes and critical information.
  7. Project Progress Summary: Maintain an accurate summary of project progress.
  8. Scheduling and Artist Management: Schedule shows at artist-level, based on expected and projected Turn Over, and advise Co-ordinators accordingly.
  9. Holiday Approval and On-Set Attendance: Approve holidays in People HR, considering other artist holidays, crew resourcing, delivery deadlines, and coordinate on-set attendance.
  10. Client Deliveries and Reviews: Oversee the execution of client deliveries for all temps and finals, set up and arrange client reviews, and provide clients with summary lists of what is to be seen and under what status.
  11. Editorial Liaison and Vendor Management: Liaise with Editorial to ensure all tasks are requested and tracked via Editorial tracker and delivered accurately and to deadlines, and manage third-party outsource vendors (roto/MM), arranging, managing, and tracking costs of all outsourced work.
  12. Team Collaboration and Support: Liaise and collaborate with other support departments, provide cover for Coordinators, Producers, and other Line Producers when absent.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: Previous experience at Senior VFX Coordinator or Line Producer level.
  2. Knowledge and Skills: In-depth understanding of live-action and CG-based VFX workflows, strong people and communication skills, excellent planning and organization skills, ability to multitask and prioritize, in-depth understanding of common file formats and resolutions, knowledge of production database tools (ie Shotgun and Filemaker), good knowledge of MS Office packages, previous scheduling experience, and basic Avid/editorial knowledge.
