Job Summary

This role involves working as a key member of the children's services team in Lancashire. As a Child and Family Practitioner, you will be supporting social workers with identified pieces of work, working directly with children, parents, and carers to achieve change within families.

The post holder will work closely with other professionals in the team to ensure the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of specialist services for children, young people, and their families and carers.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and recording skills, with the ability to reflect on practice and contribute to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Support social workers with identified pieces of work
  • Work directly with children, parents, and carers to achieve change within families
  • Record all sessions in an analytical way onto the child/ren's LCS records
  • Attend group supervision to inform work and reflect on practice

Requirements
  • Excellent analytical and recording skills
  • Ability to reflect on practice and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Working Arrangements
  • This role may be required to work evenings, weekends, and occasional public holidays
