About the Job: We are recruiting a Looked After Children Practitioner to join our Permanence Team in Greater Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the long-term plan for looked after children, from family support through to adoption. This includes developing and maintaining a secure, stable, and comforting environment throughout their childhood and upbringing.

The ideal candidate will have post-qualifying experience in child protection, children in need, safeguarding, looked after children, MASH, fostering or referral and assessment is desirable for this position. A degree in Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) is required, along with registration with Social Work England.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the long-term plan for looked after children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a secure and stable environment for children.
  • Contribute to the development of confident practice within the team.
