Engineering Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Shift Manager to join our client's senior engineering team at their busy Distribution Centre located on the outskirts of Mansfield.
As an Engineering Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Automation Team in executing the schedule of planned maintenance, ensuring high standards are upheld to maintain the reliability and stability of the MHE, and prioritizing breakdowns to limit downtime.
Key Responsibilities:- Attend handover meetings with the senior engineering team.
- Plan and organize the Engineering Team, delegating the schedule of planned maintenance.
- Fault find and maintain automated MHE, including conveyors, shuttles, totes, and robotics.
- Respond to breakdowns and ensure the team is working within H&S guidelines.
- Mentor and lead the team, ensuring strong attention to detail and effective management of system and equipment incidents.
- Manage spare parts and monitor inventory and usage.
- Ensure a strong understanding of control systems, including WMS and SCADA.
- Apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (NVQ Level 3).
- Previous experience with leadership in an Automation environment.
- Experience with Automated MHE, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge, and experience with engineering stores and CMMS systems.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office.
- HNC/HND desirable.
New salary up to £65,000 DOE, 4 on 4 off, days and nights, pension, and career progression opportunities.
