Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at McAleer & Rushe. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of our construction projects, on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Coordination

Work closely with the Project Manager to plan and coordinate project activities, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned with project requirements and timelines.

Site Management and Supervision

Establish and maintain a safe and efficient site environment, supervising and monitoring the work of site-based operatives, subcontractors, and the wider site management team.

Quality Control and Assurance

Ensure that all works carried out on site meet the required standards and that the company's Quality Management System is being adhered to by all site management and subcontractors.

Health and Safety Coordination

Develop and implement health and safety plans, ensuring compliance with current regulations and best practices, and maintaining a safe working environment for all site personnel.

Material and Labour Scheduling

Develop and manage material and labour schedules, ensuring that all necessary resources are available to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Reporting and Communication

Prepare regular reports for the Project Manager and Contracts Director, providing updates on project progress, highlighting any issues or concerns, and recommending solutions.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

A degree or HND in construction management or a related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in similar site management roles, working on projects of £5M+.

Qualifications and Certifications

A current valid CSR/CSCS Card held at management level, operational knowledge of current Health and Safety regulations, and a qualified first aider.

Skills and Abilities

Excellent communication and planning skills, analytical and decision-making skills, commercially astute, and a strong sense of achievement.

Language and IT Skills

Fluent in English, with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and AutoCAD.
