Job Description

Job Title: Head of Delivery - Environment

Job Summary:

Galliford Try Group is seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Delivery to lead our operations within the Southern Water Framework. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a large programme of work, managing a team to deliver complex engineering projects, and promoting a culture of collaboration with clients, designers, and supply chain partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to deliver large and technically challenging engineering projects, including civil engineering and MEICA works.
  • Develop and implement a delivery strategy for the programme of works, promoting environmental sustainability and group strategies.
  • Manage people, resources, and relationships effectively to ensure efficient delivery of programmes and projects.
  • Ensure performance standards are always achieved through KPI analysis and implementation of improvement plans.
  • Work closely with other Heads of Delivery and Operational Leaders to achieve business objectives.
  • Have a good understanding of commercial contract conditions, particularly NEC4, and have strong commercial awareness.
  • Have a strong commercial understanding of sub-contract procurement and be able to review, enhance, support, review, and develop sub-contracts.

Requirements:

  • Programme Management experience.
  • Capable of strategic planning and managing change.
  • Excellent track record of HS&E performance.
  • Full project/programme life cycle experience.
  • Track record of accountability for the performance of a business unit.
  • Ability to make autonomous decisions and be able to support your outcomes.
  • Extensive knowledge of Water/Wastewater Treatment and Infrastructure construction sectors preferred.
  • IT literate in Microsoft Office applications.
