Field Service Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team as a Nationwide Service Provider. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and unplanned service and breakdown repair service to our customer base throughout the central belt.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out service and repair work on a wide range of equipment, including load lifters, steps, cranes, ramps, winches, and moving decks.
  • Work on-site and in our workshop to ensure all equipment is in good working order.
  • Provide comprehensive support to our customers, including training and guidance on the use and maintenance of our equipment.
  • Work closely with our team of experienced Engineers and Managers to ensure all service and repair work is completed to the highest standard.
  • Participate in our on-call rota, providing 24/7 support to our customers.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to NVQ level or above in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience of working on the service, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, including heavy vehicle plant, machinery, forklift trucks, farm machinery, tractors, road sweepers, powered access, or marine plant.
  • Understanding of hydraulics and fault-finding electrics, with training provided as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
