About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our team at Nationwide Platforms, a leading provider of powered access solutions. As a Transport Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business by accurately planning the delivery and collection of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan the delivery of new hire orders to meet agreed customer delivery times and ensure that off-hired equipment is collected within the prescribed timeframe.
  • Plan deliveries and collections to optimize the use of our transport fleet and minimize costs.
  • Coordinate the activities of drivers to achieve productivity targets and ensure that vehicles are maintained and inspected according to fleet management schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant road transport legislation, including the use of tachographs and internal reporting systems.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in logistics or transportation planning within a busy environment.
  • Good understanding of routing and transportation planning principles.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and software.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Good customer service and people skills.
  • Knowledge of transportation planning software and systems.
