Job Details

Job Role: Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: Part-time, 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time plus 5 days (195 days per year)

Salary: £22,737 - £23,500 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with their learning and personal needs
  • Assist with classroom preparation and display of pupils' work
  • Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
  • Support the teacher in managing pupil behaviour and reporting difficulties as appropriate
  • Be aware of pupil progress and achievements and report to the teacher as agreed

Requirements:

  • Experience in working with or caring for children of relevant age
  • Ability to support pupils' learning consistently while recognising and responding to their individual needs
  • Ability to work constructively as part of a team and understand classroom roles and responsibilities
