Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Humber Education Trust. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning of our students, working closely with our experienced teachers to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the teacher in planning, preparing and delivering lessons, including preparing resources and equipment.
  • Assist with the supervision of students during lessons, breaks and lunchtimes, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Provide individual support to students who require additional help, including those with special educational needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Plans.
  • Assist with the planning and organization of learning activities, including preparing materials and resources.
  • Supervise whole classes occasionally during short-term absences of teachers.

Requirements:
  • GCSE English and Maths Grade A-C (or equivalent)
  • NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age
  • Understanding of National Curriculum, EYFS Guidance and other codes of practice
  • Highly competent written skills, including spelling, grammar, and use of ICT
  • Ability to establish professional, effective working relationships with a range of partners/colleagues and children and young people.
