About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Philanthropy Officer to join our team at Wadars Animal Rescue. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for securing significant gifts from high net worth individuals, corporations, and trusts to support our mission to provide a safe haven for animals in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive major gifts strategy to achieve ambitious income targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with major donors, corporates, and trusts to secure significant gifts
  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop and implement individual giving and community fundraising strategies
  • Produce high-quality, compelling proposals, presentations, and reports to engage and persuade major donors
  • Work closely with the fundraising assistant to direct and support community fundraising efforts

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of securing significant gifts from high net worth individuals, corporations, and trusts
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Ability to produce high-quality, imaginative, and compelling proposals, presentations, and reports
  • Strong relationship-building and partnership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
