Senior Finance Academy Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Academy Officer to join our team at Durrington Multi Academy Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to our schools and trust, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage school budgets in line with the trust's financial policies and procedures.
- Monitor and report on budgetary performance, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for cost savings and efficiencies.
- Provide financial guidance and support to staff, ensuring compliance with employment law, safeguarding, and GDPR regulations.
- Work closely with the Trust central team to ensure accurate and timely reporting, and to maintain accurate staff records in relation to contracts and payroll.
- Ensure compliance with Trust financial policy and that best value is always achieved.
- Stay updated on changes in educational finance regulations and best practice, and provide training and support to staff involved in financial management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, with experience in budget management, financial reporting, and compliance. They will be able to work under pressure, manage time and task priority, and have excellent attention to detail. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with staff, students, and external partners.
