Neonatal Consultant

**Job Opportunity:** We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Neonatologist to join our team at the Neonatal Unit, Aberdeen Maternity Hospital, NHS Grampian.

The Neonatal Unit provides comprehensive care for newborns and children in the Grampian Region and the Orkney and Shetland Islands. As a Consultant Neonatologist, you will be responsible for providing expert care to our patients, leading a team of medical staff, and contributing to the development of our services.

We are looking for a candidate with experience in ECHO, POCUS, Therapeutic Hypothermia, NO, and HFO ventilation. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our continuing programme of improvement within the unit and participate in clinical services, teaching, audit, and research.

The unit is the Northern hub within the ScotStar transport service, providing regular cover for Shetland and Orkney, Inverness by Ambulance, Fixed Wing, and Helicopter. We offer a range of flexible working arrangements, including full-time and part-time options.

To be eligible for this role, you should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register from the date of interview. Alternatively, applicants should possess a CESR/CESR(CP).
