Food Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Food Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis. As a Food Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with food preparation, cooking, and serving to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to the setup and cleaning of dining areas, maintaining a tidy and organized environment.
  • Support stock control and replenishment of supplies, ensuring efficient inventory management.
  • Develop positive relationships with staff and students, providing excellent customer service.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols to create a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a catering or food service role is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • A positive and proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and food hygiene practices.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required.
Working Arrangements:

This is a temporary position, with shifts available Monday to Saturday (6:30AM-3:00PM or 12:00 Noon-9:00PM) and Sundays (11:00AM-8:00PM).
