Site Operatives

We are recruiting for Site Operatives to join our team at Stonbury. As a direct delivery specialist contractor to the water industry and wider water environment, we work with most of the UK's water companies and the Environment Agency.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering works on our Water Utility and Environmental Agency contracts to a high standard and in a timely manner. This will involve:
Assisting with the preparation of sites, including unloading and storing of building materials and plant
Storing, handling, using and disposing of materials in the correct manner
Performing physical tasks such as basic timber shuttering, drainage and kerb laying, material mixing and application
Operating heavy machinery in conjunction with CPCS training e.g. diggers/dumpers/compressors
Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment including wearing full PPE, at all times
Requirements
While attitude is more important to us than qualifications, you will ideally have a full clean Driving Licence. Essential requirements include:
Experience of working on-site, in a labourer capacity
Being self-motivated and able to complete daily tasks with minimum supervision
Ability to work at heights safely, following relevant training
Ability to follow instructions and accept personal responsibility
Ability to lift, carry and push equipment
Ability to act on initiative, particularly in respect to Health & Safety and reporting relevant matters
Demonstrating good driving skills in company vans, where driving will be monitored and tracked
Willingness to attend training courses, as and when required
Willingness to travel and work away from home, as and when required
