Salary

£115.50 per day + price work (average earnings £27.5k-40k per year)

Job Description

As a Site Operative, you will be responsible for delivering works on our Water Utility and Environmental Agency contracts to a high standard and in a timely manner. Travel and overnight stays will be part of the job.

  • Assist with site preparation, including unloading and storing building materials and plant
  • Store, handle, use, and dispose of materials correctly
  • Perform physical tasks such as basic timber shuttering, drainage, kerb laying, material mixing, and application
  • Operate heavy machinery with CPCS training, e.g., diggers, dumpers, compressors
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment, wearing full PPE at all times
Required Skills and Qualifications

While attitude is key, ideal candidates will have:

  • A full clean driving licence
  • Experience working on-site in a labourer capacity
  • Self-motivation and ability to complete daily tasks with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work at heights safely, following relevant training
  • Ability to follow instructions and accept personal responsibility
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push equipment
  • Ability to act on initiative, particularly in respect to health and safety and reporting relevant matters
  • Demonstrated good driving skills in company vans, where driving will be monitored and tracked
