Logistics Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Operations Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team at Stonbury Ltd.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a logistics professional to manage stock, equipment, small machinery, vehicles, and facilities in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our depot, overseeing regional administration, and collaborating with various teams to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Fleet Management: Collaborate with the National Fleet & Equipment Manager to ensure the servicing, roadworthiness, and availability of the local fleet, meeting stringent health and safety standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Proactively manage the maintenance and inspection program, ensuring all equipment is compliant and fit for purpose, and remove items from use when necessary.
- Stock Control: Oversee goods in/out and stock rotation, conducting regular stock checks to ensure materials are correctly labeled and stored in compliance with regulations, reducing waste and optimizing inventory levels.
- Tool and Equipment Management: Issue tools and equipment to teams, ensure they are returned, and oversee the maintenance of all machinery.
- Facilities Management: Oversee all building and facilities needs, acting as the main point of contact for on-site contractors to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Site Deliveries: Undertake site deliveries as required, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to manage and maintain small machinery and equipment (PAT testing experience is ideal).
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive approach.
- Commercial acumen to manage stock and reduce waste efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively across various teams.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) to maintain records, prepare reports, and manage administrative tasks.
- Hold a current driving license, preferably with towing experience.
