SRG is partnering with a leading life science organisation to find an experienced EHS Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing oversight of the Environmental, Health, and Safety and sustainability programs.
  • Ensuring compliance with local regulatory EHS requirements and Symbiosis policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Supporting the corporate EHS strategy and objectives, contributing to the development and implementation of EHS programs.
  • Developing environmental, health and safety policies and procedures to ensure safe operation and regulatory compliance.
  • Leading and ensuring compliance with ISO14001 accreditation.
  • Monitoring performance of Environmental Health and Safety programs, sustainability initiatives and regulatory compliance.
  • Acting as a local expert in safety, health, environmental regulatory issues and managing compliance activities.
  • Developing permitting and compliance strategies and negotiating with regulatory agencies.
  • Developing and evaluating EHS resource requirements and annual budget.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety or Bachelor's degree in environmental, safety or related scientific discipline.
  • Extensive knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and experience providing expert advice to managers on health and safety.
  • Prior experience working in a GxP/regulated environment is beneficial.
  • Experience introducing EHS and sustainability projects is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
