Shetland Islands Council seeks an ambitious environmental health professional to provide a high-quality service to the public, the business community, and external organisations. As an Environmental Health Officer, you will work under pressure and meet strict deadlines to ensure the health and wellbeing of the community. The role involves providing advice and guidance to businesses and individuals on environmental health matters, as well as investigating complaints and enforcing regulations. The successful candidate will have a Diploma in Environmental Health and be able to travel throughout Shetland at short notice. A relocation package is available for this post. The salary for this role is £81 per year, inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £2,742 per annum. The role is permanent and full-time, with 37.0 hours per week and 52 weeks per year.
