Job Summary:
Jupiter Recruitment is seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of all food in our care home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Planning: Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents, in consultation with the Home Manager and residents.
- Culinary Operations: Oversee the preparation and cooking of all food, ensuring that it is of the highest quality and presented in an appealing manner.
- Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of food and supplies, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and orders are placed in a timely manner.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent service and maintain high standards of food quality.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed, including HACCP protocols and food safety guidelines.
- Financial Management: Manage food expenditure, ensuring that it is within budget and that cost-saving initiatives are implemented where possible.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
- Skills: Excellent cooking skills, knowledge of nutrition, and ability to develop menus that meet dietary requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressure.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2-3 in Food Preparation and Catering.
