Job Description

Candidates with experience in liquidity and collateral management are sought by CMC Markets to ensure the firm's Treasury Liquidity and Collateral Management processes in Europe and the UK meet their requirements.

This role reports into the Treasury Manager and provides a real opportunity for growth and development within various Treasury, Finance, and Risk areas.

Responsibilities:

  • The position involves daily collation and management of firmwide liquidity, working closely with Finance, Risk, and Trading teams to ensure the firm is adequately funded.
  • Collateral management across OTC and exchange derivative agreements is also a key responsibility.
  • Effective margin optimisation requires detailed analysis of margin consumption and reduction strategies.
  • The execution and risk management of the firm's Treasury STIR trading book across FX and money market instruments need to be ensured to sufficiently hedge currency and interest rate risks.
  • The co-ordination of internal and external corporate payment queries/investigations is essential.
  • Data gathering and presentation, such as interest rates being paid on CMC's bank accounts, is required when necessary.
  • A significant input into Treasury project work, including strategy and testing, is expected.
  • The production of MI for review is another crucial task.
  • Providing a clear, fair, and consistent high-quality service that presents a professional and positive image of CMC Markets when dealing with all customers, clients, or colleagues is mandatory.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in liquidity and collateral management is essential.
  • A deep understanding of funding markets with specific experience in FX and money markets is required.
  • Capital Markets qualifications such as IMC, CISI Capital Markets, CFA etc. are desirable.
  • Suitability to be an FCA SMCR Certification Function is necessary.
  • Proficiency in the use of Excel and VBA is expected.
  • Strong attention to detail, a curious and inquisitive approach, ability to build relationships, and effective time management are essential skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to learn, develop, and work within a challenging and changing Financial Institution are also required.

We offer a competitive salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
