Sustainability Manager Position

This role involves providing specialist support to projects in achieving their carbon reduction targets. The successful candidate will develop and maintain carbon management plans, collaborate with design teams, and ensure construction activities align with specified carbon savings.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain carbon management plans for projects, adhering to technical standards and requirements.
  2. Work collaboratively with design teams to update life cycle assessments at key project stages and conduct a final 'as-built' assessment upon completion.
  3. Attend site and project team meetings to ensure construction activities meet carbon savings specifications.
  4. Support project-level understanding of environmental requirements and develop mitigations to prevent impacts on the construction program.
  5. Drive the carbon agenda throughout the design and construction phase by leading the carbon working group and identifying opportunities for further reductions.
  6. Prepare and submit regular and ad-hoc reports on sustainability issues, meeting minutes, and presentation materials as needed.
  7. Periodically update the sustainability processes in the project's Integrated Management System and maintain the sustainability key risks and issues log.
  8. Hold professional membership of an environmental body (e.g., MIEMA) and possess an appropriate CSCS card type and level.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, ranging between £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also provide flexible working arrangements and are open to discussing part-time, hybrid, or remote work options.
