University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our patient safety and governance efforts.
About the RoleAs Head of Community Management, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of patient safety strategies across the organization. You will work closely with the Director of Governance to ensure that patient safety is at the forefront of all our activities.
You will be responsible for leading the Patient Relations Complaints and PALS Service, promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement, and ensuring that systems support improvements in clinical risk. You will also support divisions in developing their risk and governance assurance frameworks.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement patient safety strategies across the organization.

- Support divisions in developing their risk and governance assurance frameworks.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a degree in a relevant subject area and continued professional development to Masters level in a relevant clinical specialty. You will also need evidence of relevant postgraduate education in patient safety or incident investigation, as well as formal project or programme management training.
You will need to have extensive experience of clinical risk management and assurance in a clinical setting, as well as experience of monitoring clinical effectiveness and reporting variation through formal mechanisms. You will also need to have experience of carrying out incident investigation techniques and methodologies, including root cause analysis.
