Job Title: Consultant Cardiologist with Specialist Interest in Imaging

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Cardiologist with a specialist interest in imaging to join our dynamic team at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive cardiac care to patients, with a focus on imaging and intervention.

About the Role:
  • Provide expert care to patients with cardiac conditions, utilizing advanced imaging techniques and interventions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Contribute to the development of the coronary interventional program, working closely with other catheter labs in the Greater Manchester area.
  • Participate in on-call rota, providing 24/7 coverage for cardiac emergencies.
  • Engage in research and education activities, contributing to the advancement of cardiac care and imaging.
About the Department:

The Cardiology department at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals is a well-established and respected team, known for its clinical excellence and research opportunities. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including two cardiac catheter labs and a coronary care unit.

Requirements:
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Completion of specialist training in cardiology.
  • Advanced training in cardiac imaging and intervention.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
