About the Role

The Principal Marine Structures Engineer will be responsible for leading the design development of marine structures, ensuring that all designs meet the required standards and are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design development of marine structures, including the creation of substantiation reports and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs are coordinated and functional.
  • Act as Technical Authority for marine structures, providing technical guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Develop innovative design solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Provide solutions to manufacturing and installation issues, working closely with stakeholders to resolve technical and production queries.
  • Produce, approve, and authorize technical reports and other documentation.

Requirements

  • High level of developed knowledge and experience in marine structures engineering.
  • Ability to lead design development and determine solutions to problems and issues within their specialist subject area.
  • Ideal degree qualified in an engineering discipline, with extensive experience in relevant field.
  • Member of a relevant institution (e.g. RINA, IET, IMechE, IMarEst etc.) and hold Chartered status.
  • Ability to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
