About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiological Waste Specialist to join our team at AWE. As part of our Waste Services Group, you will be responsible for managing the review, sentencing, recording, and consignment of Radioactive Solid and Non-aqueous Waste on behalf of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to demonstrate compliance with third-party Waste Acceptance Criteria
  • Coordinate resources and governance bodies to realise the export of RA Waste while ensuring AWE remains within its Permits and Authorisations
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of hazardous waste operations
  • Experience utilising a database to interpret and manipulate information

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary for this role is £36,540 - £43,000 per annum, depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience.
