About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncology Specialist to join our team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Sarcoma and GIST Consultant, you will play a key role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with sarcomas and gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST).
Main Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Sarcoma and TYA teams to provide comprehensive care to patients with a range of sarcomas and GIST.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients undergoing intensive therapies for bone and other sarcomas.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for patients with complex needs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and develop treatment strategies.
Requirements
- Full registration with the GMC and a CCT in Medical Oncology or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work full-time, with flexibility to accommodate part-time or job-share arrangements.
