Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Medical Oncology to join our team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with our Sarcoma and Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) teams to provide expert care to patients with a range of sarcomas and GIST.

Main Duties

The post holder will be responsible for managing a full range of sarcomas and GIST, working closely with other team members to develop and implement treatment plans. This will involve attending multidisciplinary team meetings, conducting clinics, and providing inpatient care.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be fully registered with the GMC and have a CCT in Medical Oncology or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are also welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.

Communication Skills

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
