Category Buying Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Buying Manager (Non-Food & Projects) to join our team at Caffè Nero Head Office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in buying and procurement, with experience in the retail, hospitality, or food and beverage sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our non-food spend across the UK businesses, encompassing stores and new channels. This will involve day-to-day responsibility for procurement across various categories, including cups, napkins, and services such as waste collection.
The Category Buying Manager (Non-Food & Projects) will also be responsible for delivering the best possible product or service at the optimal cost, with a focus on mitigating annual inflation through category management and supplier negotiation.
Additionally, the role includes significant project-based work, with opportunities to add value across the UK and wider group. This will involve tendering key contracts, cross-brand alignment and consolidation, commodity lead, and engaging with stakeholders to unlock commercial value.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various teams, including Supply Chain, Food Development, Marketing, Finance, and Operations. They will also have experience working with field/operations/store teams to deliver in-store activity.
