Job Description

**Category Manager - EU Gardening and Landscaping Tools**

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team and drive growth in our EU Gardening and Landscaping Tools category. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the category growth strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and make data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the category growth strategy, working cross-functionally with Buying, Retail, Merchandising, and other teams
  • Manage a portfolio of top vendor accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and driving mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Lead negotiations with vendors on commercial terms, promotions, and other strategic initiatives
  • Monitor and analyze category and vendor performance data to identify opportunities and make data-driven decisions
  • Collaborate with other category teams like L&G to ensure a consistent customer experience across the Tools and Home Improvement business
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform category planning

Requirements:

  • Master's degree, or experience negotiating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL
  • Experience with Excel
  • Experience in account management, project/program management, or buying
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions
  • Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
  • Experience with business analysis and P&L management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership
