Compute System Architecture Specialist

**Company Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled Analysis engineer to join our dynamic performance modelling team in the center of excellence for hardware-software-technology co-design at imec's Cambridge UK office. This role combines research, engineering, hardware modelling, and performance analysis.
Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Performance Modelling Engineer to lead efforts in the design, development, validation, and analysis of performance models for high-performance compute and memory systems. You will work closely with architects, software, and process technology teams to simulate and evaluate system level performance and power.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement performance models for high-performance compute and memory systems.
- Analyse results and validate models with our performance analysis team.
- Work with software teams to map and simulate software workloads on the platforms.
- Develop and deploy power and performance models with technology teams.
- Profile simulator performance and scalability.
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of industry experience in performance modelling.
- Extensive experience in performance and power modelling, simulation, and analysis of complex hardware systems.
- Strong knowledge of computer architecture and microarchitecture.
- Proficiency in C++, SystemC, Python or similar programming languages.
- Effective communication skills in English allowing you to perform well in our multicultural team in Cambridge UK.
