About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perinatal Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Light Peer Support. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a central role in the development, delivery, and evaluation of our expanding counselling/therapy service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical leadership and supervision to a small team of volunteer qualified and trainee counsellors.
  • Implement and operate an internal care pathway for service users who meet the criteria for counselling/therapy services.
  • Undertake comprehensive initial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Work closely with our PNMH Peer Support Co-ordinators to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
About Light Peer Support

Light Peer Support is a perinatal mental health peer support charity dedicated to improving emotional and mental well-being in the perinatal period. We work in partnership with local authorities and healthcare providers to raise awareness of perinatal mental health difficulties and provide support to families across South Yorkshire.

Requirements
  • A recognized qualification in Counselling/Psychotherapy (Level 4 or above).
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (BABCP/BACP).
