Site Engineering Manager Job Description

Princes Limited is seeking an experienced Site Engineering Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for leading the engineering function to ensure optimal equipment performance, efficiency, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement asset care programs to champion availability and standardize asset care approaches.
  • Drive the transition from reactive to proactive maintenance with targets of 80% planned maintenance and 20% corrective maintenance.
  • Ensure cost of maintenance and asset maintenance is transparent and known.
  • Manage the engineering stores and develop effective materials management with optimized levels of spares and stock accuracy.
  • Work within Group KPI framework to drive continuous improvement in working capital management.
  • Manage site facilities to ensure statutory compliance and performance standards are at best practice levels.
  • Ensure electrical standards are at a minimum compliant with current relevant legislation and Princes group standards.
  • Drive operating standards of the machinery and ensure speed plate rated standards are adhered to.
  • Support and assist in MES development and performance management systems.

Requirements:

  • Graduate or of Graduate calibre, ideally with a further engineering qualification, hands-on experience with a demonstrable track record of success.
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving results / managing change.
  • Strong operational grounding within a complex fast moving manufacturing environment.
  • Operated and familiar with implementation of the principles of World Class Manufacturing environments / Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Track record of leadership in the planning and subsequent implementation of capital investment in production facilities.
  • Experience of delivering results against financial targets, service levels and safety standards.
  • Good working knowledge of operating systems such as SAP, AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of managing people and dealing with Trade Unions.
  • Experience of operating utilities plant and project management.
  • Practical electrical engineering experience including legislation - Preferable.
  • Previous experience of control engineering preferable.
