Make a positive difference in someone's life by becoming a Support Practitioner with The Richmond Fellowship Scotland in Cumnock, helping individuals in our communities.

You do not need to have worked in care; we invest in your qualifications and provide full training. This is a 35-hour per week post.

Due to service requirements, only female candidates are accepted. A valid driving licence and access to your own car are also required.

Your responsibilities could include:

  • Social Support - assisting individuals to engage with their communities through planned outings to leisure activities such as day centres, cinema, swimming, etc.
  • Personal Care - promoting individuals' wellbeing by assisting with bathing, dressing, arranging visits with the dentist/doctor, and incontinence care.
  • Practical Support - helping individuals maintain their tenancy by encouraging daily household tasks such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, shopping.

The estimated salary for this role is around £20,000-£22,000 per year.

All successful applicants will receive a conditional offer, subject to satisfactory references and PVG. Having a conviction does not necessarily debar you from working in this sector.
