About the Role

At FTI Consulting, we are seeking a Risk and Compliance expert to support our operations in the EMEA region, focusing on Europe. The successful candidate will work alongside the EMEA team to develop a risk and compliance framework for the region. This position will report to the Director of Risk and Compliance for the EMEA region.

Responsibilities

  1. Advise the firm on compliance requirements in the EMEA region, focusing on Europe, and implement and improve policies, processes, and procedures.
  2. Assist with the development and implementation of compliance policies, standard operating procedures, training, auditing, and monitoring activities to ensure an effective risk and compliance program throughout the EMEA region.
  3. Support the design, testing, and rollout of new systems, policies, and training programs in connection with various legal and regulatory requirements, such as anti-money laundering, insider dealing, and failure to prevent tax evasion.
  4. Work with colleagues in the Legal, Risk, and Compliance function and act as a point of contact for the EMEA region in relation to all risk and compliance issues and queries and effectively resolve them.
  5. Draft guidance documentation for practitioners and the Risk and Compliance function to ensure consistent approaches.
  6. Horizon scan for new legal and regulatory developments and assist with their implementation.
  7. Potentially take on regulated roles, such as those of the compliance officer or MLRO for certain entities in the group.
  8. Assist with other ad hoc issues as they arise, including the conduct of investigations, audits, and regulatory requests.
