About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our nursing team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will work under the supervision and guidance of a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Undertaking delegated personal care duties for patients/clients
  • Providing support for the Registered Nursing staff in maintaining a stable and safe clinical environment
  • Assisting with ECGs, cannulation, vena-puncture, wound care, and other clinical procedures
  • Documenting patient information and maintaining accurate records

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Evidence of mandatory training and other relevant study days
  • Physical skills obtained through practice
  • Demonstrated competence in nursing procedures that require basic understanding of Anatomy & Physiology
  • Able to act on own initiative (in relation to delivering patient/client care)
