About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Type 26 Frigate programme for the Royal Navy, driving forward the Gun Control and Electro Optical Control system testing and integration at the land based integration facility, and commissioning on the Type 26 ship itself.

What You'll Do:
  1. Lead the technical activities of the small team, taking responsibility for all aspects of systems engineering.
  2. Work closely with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters.
  3. Develop and maintain systems engineering tools and metrics.
  4. Ensure that the team has the necessary skills and knowledge to meet their objectives.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high level of understanding of the engineering lifecycle, along with demonstrable 'hands-on' testing and integration experience.

You should also be competent and capable with systems engineering tools and have a high level of understanding of systems engineering methodologies and practices.

A bid team experience, naval ships platform experience in Gun Control and Electro Optical Control systems, and requirements management and system design experience would be beneficial.

An academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications and becoming recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution are essential.
