About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Neuro-Rehabilitation to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality out-patient and ward referral services to the Trust, as well as providing in-patient support to the neuro-rehabilitation ward.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in neurological rehabilitation and will be able to demonstrate excellent clinical leadership and management skills. You will be part of a team of 10 Consultant Neurologists, 2 Consultant Neurophysiologists, and a Rehabilitation Consultant, and will have the opportunity to work closely with the King's College Hospital Regional Neuroscience Centre at Denmark Hill in London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide out-patient and ward referral services to the Trust
  • Provide in-patient support to the neuro-rehabilitation ward
  • Develop and implement clinical leadership and management skills
  • Work closely with the King's College Hospital Regional Neuroscience Centre at Denmark Hill in London

Person Specification

  • Professional Qualifications: Full GMC Registration, Higher Degree (MD /PhD or equivalent)
  • Experience in delivering a Spasticity service
  • Experience in inpatient and outpatient neurological clinical care
  • The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English
