About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Therapist to join our CAMHS team in Maidstone. The successful candidate will have a post-graduate qualification in a relevant field, such as clinical psychology, family therapy, or child and adolescent psychotherapy.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assessment and evidence-based treatment to children and young people aged 0-18 years with complex mental health presentations. This will involve working therapeutically with parents/carers/families and providing specialist individual interventions.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a post-graduate training in a relevant field
  • Eligibility for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (HCPC, BACP, UKCP AFT, ACP)
  • Experience of working therapeutically with parents/carers/families of children and young people with complex mental health problems
  • Experience of providing specialist individual interventions with a wide variety of children and young people, from 3 to 19 years old, presenting problems at the most severe end of the spectrum
