About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Stage Manager to join our team at LaplandUK, a leading provider of immersive theatre experiences. As a Stage Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shows, working closely with the production team to deliver a high-quality experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Show Operations
    • Manage the safe and efficient operation of our shows, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
    • Oversee the technical aspects of our shows, including sound, lighting, and set design.
    • Supervise the use of props and ensure they are used in accordance with our safety protocols.
    • Rebalance sound levels to ensure an optimal experience for our guests.
    • Conduct pre-show technical and safety checks.
    • Run principle cast members through warm-ups and notes as required.
    • Troubleshoot and problem-solve any issues that arise during the show.
  • Team Management
    • Ensure that staffing levels are adequate to meet the needs of the show.
    • Establish and maintain a positive working culture within the Show Operations team.
    • Work closely with HR and Resourcing colleagues on recruitment requirements.
    • Manage poor performance and attendance in accordance with company policy.
    • Recognize and promote good performance and attendance.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure a safe and secure working environment for colleagues and guests.
    • Assist the Show Operations team in coordinating emergency procedures.
    • Report any health and safety incidents or near-misses to Event Control.
  • VIP and PR Guests
    • Support the communication and requests of VIP and PR guests as determined by the VIP manager/team.
Requirements
  • Previous professional experience working as a Stage Manager in a traditional or immersive theatre environment.
  • Experience with theatre tech, including sound, lighting, and effects.
  • Working knowledge of best Health and Safety practices.
