Job Summary

We're looking for a seasoned Stage Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our immersive theatre shows. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the show run seamlessly, from technical operations to cast management. If you have a passion for theatre, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Show Operations
  • Manage a safe and efficient show operation, adhering to approved policies and procedures.
  • Take ownership of allocated show scenes, ensuring high production values are maintained at all times.
  • Ensure all technical aspects, including sound, lighting, and props, are in working order.
  • Manage props, resetting and storing them as required.
  • Rebalance sound levels in accordance with design parameters.
  • Supervise pre-show activities, including technical and safety checks.
  • Run principle cast members through warm-ups and notes as required.
  • Have a thorough understanding of relevant areas of operation to effectively troubleshoot and problem-solve.
Show Operations (Continued)
  • Complete accurate and detailed daily show reports for review by senior management.
  • Act as a champion for accessibility and inclusion policies, ensuring all team members are trained and working in accordance with relevant processes.
  • Attend to guest feedback, working closely with the Guest Relations team to address recurring issues.
  • Deliver daily briefings to teams, communicating key safety, operational, and experiential information.
Rehearsals and Training
  • Oversee the delivery of an effective rehearsal process, working with the Show Director and other key stakeholders.
  • Record directors' decisions on blocking and notes for cast members.
  • Create the prompt book to capture vital information, including sound, lighting, and set cues.
  • Identify and problem-solve operational challenges during rehearsals.
  • Attend compulsory training courses and demonstrate a positive attitude towards learning and adaptation.
Team Management
  • Ensure staffing levels are adequate, working with the Company Manager to address instances of understaffing.
  • Establish and maintain a professional working culture within the Show Operations team.
  • Work closely with HR and Resourcing colleagues on recruitment requirements.
  • Manage poor performance and attendance in accordance with company policy.
  • Recognize and promote good performance and attendance.
Health and Safety
  • Ensure a safe and secure working environment for colleagues.
  • Assist the Show Operations team in coordinating emergency procedures.
  • Report health and safety incidents or near-misses to Event Control.
VIP & PR Guests

Support the communication and requests of VIP and PR guests as determined by the VIP manager/team.
