Job Description:
Job SummaryLaplandUK is seeking an experienced Stage Manager to join our team for our immersive theatre production. As a Stage Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our shows, managing props, sound, lighting, and supervising cast and backstage support teams.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a safe and best-in-class show operation, ensuring compliance with approved policies, processes, and instructions.
- Take ownership of allocated show scenes, including set, B.O.H, and F.O.H areas, maintaining the highest production values.
- Ensure all show scene technical aspects, including sound, mics, and lighting, are in working order, and raise faults promptly with the Company Manager and Technical Production partners.
- Manage all props associated with the allocated show scene, ensuring they are used appropriately, maintained, reset, and stored as required.
- Rebalance show scene sound levels in accordance with the parameters set by the Sound/Lighting design teams.
- Supervise pre-show activities, such as technical and safety checks.
- Run Principle Cast Members through warm-ups and notes as required by the Resident Director and/or the Company Management team.
- Have a thorough working knowledge of the relevant areas of operation to effectively troubleshoot and problem-solve.
- Ensure consistent and accurate daily reporting of operational KPIs to Head Office and the wider Lapland operations teams.
- Complete accurate and detailed daily show reports for nightly review by the Company Manager, Event Manager, and Head Office.
- Act as a champion for the 'Lapland Accessibility and Inclusion' policies, working with colleagues and direct reports to ensure all are trained and working in accordance with the relevant processes.
- Attend to (and follow up) guest feedback, working closely with the Guest Relations team (and other relevant stakeholders) to proactively address recurring problems.
- Where required, deliver daily briefings to teams, communicating key safety, operational, experiential, and departmental information in a timely manner.
- Previous professional experience working as a Stage Manager within a traditional or immersive theatre environment.
- A working knowledge of best Health and Safety practices.
