Clinical Psychologist in Paediatric Long-term Ventilation Specialist

Job Summary
Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts is seeking a Clinical Psychologist with an interest in clinical health psychology and the impact of living with health conditions. You will work closely with the medical service multidisciplinary team to provide a specialist clinical psychology service for children/young people to help them better manage psychological distress and obtain better treatment outcomes.
Main Duties
The main duties of the role will involve working with children and young people through consultation to staff, direct work, and by attending multidisciplinary clinics. You will be part of a welcoming and growing Clinical Psychology Department which incorporates specialisms in Paediatric Psychology, Adult Medical Psychology, and Child and Adult Neuropsychology.
About Us
There are opportunities for continued professional development and clinical supervision is well provided for within the paediatric clinical psychology team. You will also be involved in providing consultation, training, and supervision as required to others within and outside of the multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a completed (or due to complete in 2024) post-graduate doctoral level DClinPsy in clinical psychology as accredited by the BPS, current HCPC registration for Clinical Psychologist (or eligibility to qualify for registration in 2024), and evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS/HCPC.
Working Environment
Your base will predominantly be at the Children's Hospital QMC campus. The department has a commitment to clinical research. Strong support is available to participate in research or to develop your clinical research interests.
