Gardening Volunteer
At SeeAbility, we are seeking volunteers to support our homes by maintaining their outdoor spaces. Our Gardener Volunteers help with weeding and pruning, ensuring the people we support can enjoy their surroundings.
We are currently looking for volunteers to support our supported living service in Aylesbury. Tasks include creating planters, providing general maintenance, watering, planting, weeding, and pruning. Additionally, volunteers will help maintain flower beds and create/improve/maintain sensory garden spaces.
To become a Gardener Volunteer, you will need to be knowledgeable about plants, confident using gardening equipment, punctual, and reliable. You will also need to be friendly and approachable. Please note that you must be over the age of 18 to apply for this role.
As a Gardener Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to give something positive back to society and have a direct impact on people's lives. Gardening is a great way to get out and about, stay fit, and meet new people. Volunteers can claim travel expenses.
About SeeAbility: We specialise in supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, who may also have sight loss, to realise their goals each and every day. We encourage people with disabilities to challenge what they expect from life, from themselves, and from wider society.
