Job Title: Part Time Accounts Manager

Job Description:

Si Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Part Time Accounts Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the finance function, ensuring the correct operation of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules, and supervising other finance staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the work of the Legal Cashiers in the team.
  • Provide holiday cover when the Legal Cashiers are on holiday.
  • Set up, check and authorise payments from the bank accounts.
  • Deal with the writing of cheques and banking of cheque receipts.
  • Assist staff members with accounting queries.
  • Keep nominal ledgers up to date and maintain accuracy.
  • Deal with all preparations for the annual Accountant's audit.
  • Ensure money on Client ledgers is repaid to clients in a timely manner.
  • Monitor potential bad debt and help fee earners to deal with this.
  • Monitors write offs on Client ledgers.
  • Record and monitor breaches of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a finance role is essential.
  • Experience in the legal sector is advantageous.
