Part Time Finance Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Part Time Finance Manager to join our team at Si Recruitment. As a Part Time Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the finance function, ensuring the correct operation of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules, and supervising other finance staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor all bank accounts and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Produce monthly reports to provide financial insights and updates.
  • Supervise the work of the Legal Cashiers in the team and provide guidance as needed.
  • Provide holiday cover when the Legal Cashiers are on holiday.
  • Set up, check, and authorise payments from the bank accounts.
  • Deal with the writing of cheques and banking of cheque receipts.
  • Payment of partners' expenses.
  • Petty Cash management.
  • Assist staff members with accounting queries.
  • Keep nominal ledgers up to date and maintain accuracy.
  • Deal with all preparations for the annual Accountant's audit.
  • Ensure money on Client ledgers is repaid to clients in a timely manner.
  • Monitor potential bad debt and help fee earners to deal with this.
  • Record and monitor breaches of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules.
  • Deal with the production of month-end reports.
