Part Time Finance Manager

Si Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Part Time Finance Manager to join our team in Ripon. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the finance function, ensuring the correct operation of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules, and supervising other finance staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor all bank accounts and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Produce monthly reports to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Supervise the work of the Legal Cashiers and provide holiday cover when needed.
  • Set up, check, and authorise payments from the bank accounts.
  • Deal with the writing of cheques and banking of cheque receipts.
  • Payment of partners' expenses and management of petty cash.
  • Assist staff members with accounting queries and maintain accuracy in nominal ledgers.
  • Deal with all preparations for the annual Accountant's audit.
  • Ensure money on Client ledgers is repaid to clients in a timely manner.
  • Monitor potential bad debt and help fee earners to deal with this.
  • Record and monitor breaches of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules.
  • Deal with the production of month-end reports.
